Tom Edmiston is the Senior Vice President of Tax Credit Investing at Cinnaire, based in Lansing. He is an at-large board member representing the whole state.
What is the history/purpose of your organization, in one sentence?
Cinabre (formerly Great Lakes Capital Fund) is a full service financial parter that supports community & economic development initiatives through creative loans and best-in-class service.
What do you do at your organization?
I work with real estate developers to identify their financing needs for projects in Michigan and then align Cinnaire’s resources to meet their needs. This can include: acquisition and predevelopment financing, perm loans and/or equity investments (i.e. LIHTC, NMTC, Historic, etc.).
Is there anything special we should know about you or your organization?
In my previous life (when I managed the Multi-City Michigan LISC program) I helped form CEDAM. It has been great watching CEDAM’s growth and success over the years. Communities across the state have truly benefited from CEDAM’s exemplary work: its training, technical assistance, networking, communications, advocacy and policy work.
