JOB SUMMARY:
Residential Energy Advisor Part Time B (up to 28 hours per week) $16.27/per hour – $24.44/per hour Director of Community and Neighborhood Services Department Reporting to the Director of the of Community and Neighborhood Services Department, this position is responsible for managing the Home Energy Retrofit Program.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Manages the Home Energy Retrofit Program in accordance with city policiesand industry practices, including, but not limited to:
a)Promotion and Marketing
b)Client and Contractor Recruiting
c)Customer Service
d)Budgeting
e)Advisory Council(s) coordination
f)Reporting on Community Energy Plan related metric completion
g)Recommendations on Home Energy Retrofit and On-bill FinancingPlan/Incentive amendments over time
h)Staff liaison to the Holland Energy Fund and Community Energy PlanSteering Committee
2.Training and coordinating with other Community and Neighborhood ServicesDepartment staff to maximize Home Energy Retrofit and On-Bill Financingprograms referrals and utilization.
3.Works with Energy Optimization staff and On-Bill Financing Staff at theHolland Board of Public Works to maximize the Home Energy Retrofitprogram utilization.
4.Administers the Building Energy Labelling component of the CommunityEnergy Plan in conjunction with City and Holland Board of Public Works staff.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.May be assigned other community planning duties to assist in the overallfunction of area wide revitalization for the City of Holland.
2.Assists other departments of the City in various planning projects as assigned.
3.Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Certified energy auditor through a recognized industry certification program such as RESNET or BPI preferred.2.Three years of field experience auditing homes preferred.3.Knowledge of building science.4.Interpersonal and presentation skills necessary to communicate in both oral and written forms with various levels of City personnel and members of the public.5.Mathematical ability to make complex mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy.6.Mental ability to frequently work on projects requiring concentration and attention to detail including figures, paperwork, data, etc.7.Physical ability to frequently sit/stand in one position for extended periods of time. Incumbent must occasionally lift/carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.8.State of Michigan Driver License.9.Must be a self-starter who gets results with little supervision yet possesses a sensitivity and aptitude for proactive coordination.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
A combination of normal office environment with little discomfort due to noise, dirt,
dust and the like as well as outside work in all conditions during site inspections.
