Position Summary: The Michigan State University Sexual Assault Program social worker position (Sexual Assault Therapist) will provide direct service and outreach to a diverse student population. MSUCC has a long-standing multicultural tradition dating back to 1969, and this position is one aspect of the center’s ongoing commitment to providing outreach and clinical services to traditionally under-served populations. The Social Worker Position (Sexual Assault Therapist) will provide comprehensive psychotherapy services to victims of sexual assault and adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, will facilitate individual counseling and group services and provide advocacy and crisis intervention services. This position also provides consultation services to MSU faculty and staff regarding sexual assault dynamics and trauma response. This position is responsible for the completion of counseling, advocacy, grant-required statistics, and service documentation.
