The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is conducting an internal/external recruitment process to fill the following state vacancy:
Job Title: State Administrative Manager 15
City/County: Lansing, Ingham County
Type of Employment: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $73,248 – $105,360 annually
Brief Job Description: This position is responsible for oversight of staff that administers programs including the Community Revitalization Program (MCRP), Brownfield Redevelopment Programs, and SmartZone Programs. Manages Community Revitalization Program (MCRP) staff in the negotiation and development of project specific financial incentive packages to companies to invest and redevelop brownfield and historic properties within Michigan’s urban and downtown areas. Manages the Brownfield staff in the monitoring, reporting, and compliance of the MCRP grants and loans and brownfield tax increment financing tools. Manages the Smart Zone staff in the monitoring, reporting, and compliance with the agreements and legislation. Manager develops policy and procedures for the section, and serves as liaison with stakeholders on all aspects of the program. Also provides technical assistance and training to new and existing staff members regarding various packaging options.

Minimum Education Required: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance or a related field is preferred.
Minimum Experience Required: Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level. A candidate with previous economic development, property tax and/or commercial lending experience is preferred.
