The main duties of this position include management of the SHPO’s cultural resource inventory information with a strong focus on strategic planning and development to identify and prepare for future cultural resource information gathering and utilization needs.

Job Description
This position is responsible for the comprehensive and efficient management, integration, collection and utilization of SHPO cultural resource survey and inventory materials (both physical documents and digital records) across various program areas, including National Register, ER, Tax Credits and administrative records.   The main duties of this position include management of the SHPO’s cultural resource inventory information with a strong focus on strategic planning and development to identify and prepare for future cultural resource information gathering and utilization needs.
The incumbent will oversee and continuously improve SHPO’s cultural resource survey, inventory and information needs including the orderly collection, organization, integration, maintenance and archiving of information and records on historic sites and preservation programs utilizing available technology, including, but not limited to, MISHPO.  The position will lead SHPO analysis in cultural resource survey, inventory and information needs and utilization of information by assessing the SHPO’s current information collection and identifying significant themes and major gaps in survey data as well as identifying ways to utilize the information office efficiency, stake holder use and public purpose. The incumbent will work with SHPO staff and stakeholders to develop priorities and plan for future survey and information collection needs as well as utilization of the information for public benefit.
The position will be responsible for removing data “silos” between SHPO program areas, ensuring SHPO information sets interrelate and work together and providing internal and external use.
In cooperation with the SHPO and Deputy SHPO, the incumbent will be responsible for strategic planning and development related to SHPO survey, inventory and information needs and usage.   The incumbent will be responsible for working with SHPO leadership to develop a strong vision of SHPO direction and will possess the ability to maintain momentum in cultural resource information management and utilization.Position Description

One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
