Asset Building Policy Agenda
ABC Goals
The Michigan Asset Building Coalition (ABC) seeks to expand opportunities for all people in Michigan to build and protect personal assets, such as education, job skills and health, and financial assets, such as savings accounts and homeownership.
This is accomplished through the Asset Building Policy Project (ABPP) and rooted in four core goals of the ABC.
The Core Research and Policy Goals [994KB PDF] of the ABPP are to:
- Improve financial literacy for all Michigan families
- Give working families in Michigan the financial tools they need to build assets
- Create an environment in Michigan that is conducive to saving
The ABPP will move forward on the three core goals with its specific 2010-2011 Policy Agenda [895KB PDF].
