ABPP Publications
The Asset Building Policy Project (ABPP) unites individual-development and community-development policy to create opportunities and assets that will help families and communities.
The purpose of the ABPP is to promote asset building policy in Michigan and advance the policy goals and recommendations of the ABC. This page contains some of the materials, presentations and publications used by the ABPP to achieve this purpose.

- The ABCs of the ABPP [480KB PDF]: Brochure with a brief overview of the ABC and the ABPP
- Helping Working Families Achieve Financial Security, First Edition [1.02MB PDF]: In 2005, the Michigan Asset Building Coalition (ABC) met over a six-month period with an express purpose of creating a report outlining new and existing state policy options with the greatest potential to help working poor households build assets toward becoming more financially secure. In January 2006, the ABPP released this report.
- Economic Benefits of the Earned Income Tax Credit in Michigan [658KB PDF]: Commissioned by CEDAM and the Michigan Association of United Ways; completed by the Anderson Economic Group in August 2009.
- Helping Working Families Achieve Financial Security, Second Edition. This 2010 report reviews past policy and advocacy successes, outlines our core research and policy goals, and presents a plan for the future to move asset building policy forward throughout the state of Michigan.
